Several timely events happened this month for us here at Edg Photography:
First was “Texas School” (Texas School of Professional Photography), being held for its first year in Arlington, Texas. This carried us through the first week of May, and while attending and working as a “Wrangler” once again – our fifth year, we were still fielding calls to schedule Holiday parties for December and schedule portrait sessions. (I love it people and businesses plan ahead! 
) Not only was the week a great one for learning and networking, but we won the grand prize!
Thanks to BWC Photo Imaging out of Dallas, Texas for donating the door prize – a new Kawasaki Ninja named Sizzle! (Photos of the night our name got called and of the bike can be seen on Facebook. Just send a request and we can get you hooked up. Also, it was tweeted about on Twitter through:
bwcphotoimaging (their twitter handle).
We went back to Plano the following week to pick up the bike and drive it back, and it is just so fabulous. (I smile and feel blessed every time I look at it. )
Since then we have been busy, busy with catching up, deliveries, and several more trips out of town, and a last minute wedding being booked for Memorial Day weekend! (Talk about close! But no worries here – we get the job done! Period.)
Also, we added more prints to our display collection – thanks again to the many print companies that donated prints and services to the students and participants of Texas School. Among those new images includes one you may see in offices around town, or in your own mail!
Thanks to H Houston Magazine and one set of their “Kissing Contest Winners” (Mario & Erica), you can see their full page photo wedding announcement on page 29 of the May/June issue of the magazine, taken out on Galveston Island. The wonderful couple is getting married at the beginning of August out on the Island, and we wish them the best as their special day approaches!
Well as we enter into our summer season we will be having different specials running including a special week where we will be doing sessions out at the beach – (around sunrise or sunset), family sessions indoors for when it’s too hot to play outside, and photographing the seniors of 2010, along with our scheduled weddings, so be sure plan and call ahead to pick out your best time, or date, for your special day.
*Also, for our business professionals, we are currently booking Business Portrait sessions a week to two weeks in advance, so let us know when you’re interested in setting up yours. And as always, you will have a good selection of backgrounds and images to choose from, and can use your selected image as needed in print or web. (This package also includes a web version of your image for an online profile or resume too!)
